Tilek Mamutov

The first Kyrgyzstani to work at Google, Tilek spent 11 years with the company across Dublin, Zurich, and San Francisco, becoming Google's first official representative in Central Asia. During his time there, he successfully advocated for the launch of Google Translate and many other services in the Kyrgyz language. He also served as a project manager at Google X, the company’s innovation lab.
Six years ago, Tilek left Google to start Outtalent — a company that helps software engineers from around the world land jobs at top tech firms like Google. Outtalent became the first Kyrgyz startup to be accepted into the Y Combinator accelerator. Since then, it has generated over $1.5M in revenue and reached a $30M valuation with only three team members at the time.
In addition to running Outtalent, Tilek occasionally supports other startups. He has invested in early-stage companies in both the U.S. and Kyrgyzstan, alongside notable investors such as Founders Fund and angel investor Naval Ravikant. Several of these investments have already seen significant growth in valuation.
